Saturday Night Monologes: Netflix

This past Saturday, I was watching a show on netflix (It’s an online and DVD rental service for movies, documentaries and etc.) in the living room. I woke up with a start to find myself in the living room on the couch and not in my bed. I carried myself to my bedroom, after brushing my teeth, only to find that I couldn’t sleep.

So, I decided to browse netflixs for something to watch. Something I could fall asleep to. I found this movie and put it on. Only to find out that it’s a mini series and I was hooked.

The first show, of course, ended on a cliff hanger. I couldn’t stop. It was 1am.

I had to keep watching. I had to know how it would end up.

I stayed up till 4am, watching this mini series.

Why? Because I can get obsessive and I was.

I still am, I am watching all these British series with “strong female roles”. That is how they are described.

It’s like Jane Austen on TV.

And I love Jane Austen.

Please take my Netflix away? I’m a tad obsessed.

  1. Aren’t British TV series the best?
It is really a problem when you have access to all the episodes at once. You keep watching and watching not stop. Your situation happened to me couple of times. I LOVE Netflix. It is the best service. By the way I bought Roku so I can watch their online DVDs on TV. You can also watch Arabic news channels via Roku.

    1. Yes, I love them! It is really a problem, I have tons of books that are going unread.

I heard of Roku, but I didn’t know you could get Arabic news channels. That would be nice to have. I might have to invest in it.

  2. It’s a bit spoiling when you have all the episodes at once. There ha to be the torture of waiting a week for the next show… 🙂

    1. Yes, a little but I hate the wait. I tend to forget what happened the week before and what show I was watching. I usually remember late! 🙂
So, now I know when the last time I watched the show and it’s right at my fingertips.
